Kahnawà:ke Housing Repair Pilot Project

This pilot project is made possible through a generous $45,000 contribution from Rio Tinto.

The initiative anticipates completing between three to five repair projects, depending on the

scope and complexity of each case. The work will be carried out using the expertise of skilled

professionals from both within and outside of the community, supported by volunteer labour

and donated materials. An additional goal of the project is to create experiential learning

opportunities by involving local schools and trades programs, fostering skill development and

community engagement among youth.
