The Kahnawà:ke Labor Office is currently developing a Labor Code for Kahnawà:ke, by Kahnawà:ke.
Workers’ Rights:
The law will include descriptions of workers’ rights, such as minimum wage, annual paid leave, statutory holiday, etc.
Occupational safety and health:
Rules and regulations for safety on the job. The code will eliminate dangers to health, safety and physical and mental well-being of workers at the source.
MSI:
Compensation for workplace accidents and occupational diseases. The code will ensure that there is a swift return for every employee back to a healthy working life.
