Indigenous Health Research Summit

The Indigenous Health Research Summit took place in Kahnawà:ke from September 10–12, 2025, marking 30 years of research by the Kahnawà:ke Schools Diabetes Prevention Project (KSDPP). The three-day event brought together Indigenous researchers, community members, partners, and youth to share community-led research, wise practices, ethics, data governance, and innovative methods in Indigenous health research. Open to the public at the Knights of Columbus, the summit featured presentations, panels, exhibits, live research activities, health monitoring, and cultural experiences.

Food Drive - Drive By

The Food Drive – Drive By took place on a beautiful day and resulted in a successful community turnout. The event collected a trunk full of non-perishable food items, $130 in cash, a $100 Shop Kahnawake gift certificate donated by Aaron Kirby, and a $250 cash donation from Bryan, Michelle, Zack, and Danika. All donations were directed to support the Kateri Food Basket.

As part of the event, the Kateri Memorial Foundation provided Winter Wonderland door prize tickets to individuals who contributed to the food basket.

4th Annual Community Picnic

The entire team at PlanIt was out in full force at the 4th Annual Community Picnic! Our booth had a little bit of each project we are working on as well as a chance to win some awesome prizes!
